i have a few off beat questions here:
is there any alternate fluids that one can use in the gearbox other than ATF? i know that is what's recommended, but dunno... just don't trust it all that much. i read from one of those motorswap faqs that you can run a slightly thicker redline product (redline makes some killer motorcycle oils from what i have read). one strange thing that crossed my mind: i am wondering if i could get away with using bel-ray gearsaver oil in the tranny... it's really great stuff, and can withstand the harsh use of being in a motorcycle gearbox (bel-ray is my brand of choice when it comes to motorcycle fluids). just curious, if anyone has had favorable results using something OTHER than dexron 3.
