  • what would 3k get me

I will have 3000-35000$ to spend on a festiva or another car.

If i go with the festiva i would need it built.

If you were to build a festiva for someone what could you do for 3500$
1990 (LUCIFER 2.0) fully built BP+T with E153, Fueltech FT500, traction control with hopes of 600hp (i drank to much of the KOOL-AID)
1990 OverKILL BP+T, evo ecu system, coilovers, aspire brakes, full advanced suspension, Garrett! The Autocross toy!
    1989 (BRITSTIVA 1.0) B6T and sold
    19?? 150$ burnout car SOLD
    1991 (STRESS RELIEF)SOLD

Depends on what's available where you are and who's doing the work. It would cost me an arm and a leg just to do a simple BP swap unless I drove a good bit to find cheaper parts. The simpler B6 swap is impossible for me to do locally. They just don't exist around here.

Hopefully someone near you will chime in. You should at least get an Aspire swap, nice wheels/tires, and some kind of engine swap for that money.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

If someone brought me a clean festiva and 3 grand, I'd build another V6tiva

              1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
              1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Kind of takes the fun out of owning a festiva. I think the best part is working on and molding the car into what you want it to be. Although I do understand that sometimes its less stressful to have someone else do it.

My car isn't parted out, but I wouldn't drop below 4k for the entire car. Not to mention it is not a daily driver sort of festiva at this point.
