  • Looking for some good advice.

Hi guys I am new to this site and this is my first post, but the past few days I have been on here reading some of the other posts. I have found a 89 festiva in my area that is in average shape for a car of that age, the guy wants 500 for it, I was wondering if that is a good deal, after reading some of the posts on here I have realized that these can be amazing little cars and I want in on the fun of owning one of them.

Welcome to the board , If the body is in good shape , and it drives nice ,no hard pulling ,no smoke ,engine bay area not dripping with oil , all around the car looks like it has been somewhat cared for , I guarantee you won't be sorry for buying it . Good luck Jew him down a bit ,don't settle on the first price

Not really. I've driven an '89 for almost 3 years with no issues.

Just depends on how well the car was taken care of.

Just thought I would let you know that today I became the proud owner of a 89 festiva. And I finally got to experience what you guys are talking about when you say how fun these cars are to drive, I am very excited about the car, and it may be a little early to say but I think that I am in love.
