My dad drives a 1989 Firefly with the 1.0 engine, and he gets 60-70 mpg! he drives like a granny, and 90% HWY. He has done nothing special! Keep in mind these cars only have 3-cyls in them!
I usually only put in 7-8 gallons at a time, with the most being 9.3 gallons, and I thought I was going to run out that time as it was way below the "e".
I keep my tires at 44-45 psi and drive a max of 50-55mph and I get an average of 48mpg in the summer and 43mpg in the winter (with studded winters that only go to 35 psi).Last edited by Darlo; 12-31-2010, 04:16 AM.

The XFi version of the metro is the king of mpg. Very easy to manage 60mpg+ outta those! I believe they have the tallest gearing of any metro/swift and they also have a fancy mpg cam thats highly sought after by the ecomodder guys.
I wonder if we could apply some of the attributes of that cam to a cam for our b3?91GL BP/F3A with boost
