  • Place you bets (Dyno run on my Carb'd. B6)

I'm going to do 3 pulls on a Mustang Dyno on Feb. 20th this month.

What do you guys think it will pull as far as Horsepower and Torque ratings at the wheels?

Here is what I have done.
    Japanese Carb'd B6 Swap
1972 Chevrolet Vega Carb (36/32 Clone)
    Ported Intake
    Genie B6 Header
Straight through 2.25in Exhaust without cat (My SCCA race car not driven on street)
    Accell high performance ignition coil
Engine makes power until about 6000 - 6200 rpms...
    No idea mileage on engine.

As I said, place your bets.
It feels real fast, but I have no interior and only 1 seat, so it doesn't take much power to make it seem that way...

Mustang Dyno's give lower number's than a Dynojet. A good friend of mine had a shop with a Dynojet dyno, and when we went to Mustang Dyno (there built in Twinsburg Ohio about 6mi from me) we ran my car at both places. The Mustang Dyno dyno'd my car at 456rwhp, drove it to my friend's shop 494rwhp on Dynojet.

Wow! That is significant. Makes me wonder if it's even worth running anywhere. No matter what it's probably just a ballpark figure. It's nice to have at least an idea though.

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.
