  • Newbie Asking a Favour

Okay, picked up a 93 Festy needing some tlc. It will never be mint, but hopefully it will get etested and saftied soon. Pics later today.

I have been reading LOTS of old threads on very sloooow internet. Sometimes I find things, sometimes not. I'm old and suck a searches.

I am asking that folks add any interchanging (or real easy swap) parts. Include make, model, year(s) of donor and mybe a thread if you have it bookmarked.

On my side I will take pics and add a diy thread for anything I do. First will be some ghetto rust spot fixes, and very likely a gas tank r&r, as I have a slight leak (already have a j/y tank).

Does there happen to be a candidate for an air filter? Seems basic, but NAPA/UAP tells me the closest filter is 5hours away and $25. The local Ford dealer parts guy and I don't get along (Ranger issues).

I am looking for things like seats, mirrors, consoles, anything that makes for a simple job. I have found some things, but it would be nice to gather stuff together in one thread. If it has been done, flame away.................

Welcome! "Ranger issues" eh? Is there a story behind that?

Here is a link to my build thread, which covers some ghetto bodywork, shows lots of pics of a mostly stripped car, and is beginning to cover the basic B6 engine swap:

Members Builds (questions about repair or how to do something belong in the proper forum)

There are some links in my thread to questions I asked in the "Repair" forum, so check them out too.

As far as an air filter go online. Find a late 80's rx7 vaf adapter & get a cone filter.

For the rest we actually have an interchangeable thread. Check it out

I did a search for that as I saw it mentioned and found zip. All search engines hate me. Thanks a bunch.

Are Escort seat tracks identical? I found some in a yard that looked good. Mine are crappy. I picked up a set of Celica buckets that I plan to fit in.

nope....nothing out there that is direct but honda prelude seats are very easily adapted without welding. If you have a welder you can make anything fit.

              What back seat?

Also, can someone again tell me what years easily modded Prelude seats to get? I think they were around 1994?

matt used 93's...I do not remember the year of mine....I think 92 or 94....but they were the same.

I also put in older Prelude seats....they were a little more work but still no welding

Okay, I looked up Preludes in Wiki:

Fourth gen models ran from 1992 to 1996, so those years probably had the same type of seats. I'll attach a pic of what the body style looked like.

According to Wiki, the Canadian spec models had available heated seats. Go for the warm tushies, eh?

well you could probably just get the back seat and take it apart. Than use the festiva cover as a patern.
