  • License Plate Ideas (and the best ones you've seen)

I need to get a plate for my festiva but was thinking it'd be cool to get a customized one.

What'd be a good idea for my festy? I'm a Michigan resident, btw.

What are some of the best ones you've ever seen?

Here's a laugh to get things started:

^^ Ha ha, that's a funny one. I wonder if that is one of the plates they are trying to recall? I know they're trying to take back "EATS".

I just went and looked at pics of your car. Did you remove all the, um, decorations? Cause that will influence the submissions.

Hahahaha, I haven't yet. I need to get it running first.

They're not recalling this one, I guess they think it's acceptable? That's what I've read at least.

what kind of theme are you going with for your car? it helps to tie your plate in with the car itself
It's not the size that counts....It's how you use it.

        90 L 5spd- BP project
90 L auto-rusted out and wrecked used as a parts shed
89 LX auto- sold to a friend
89 L 4spd- Gave to cousin as a first car

        95 Honda Civic EX
        99 Jeep Cherokee SE
        07 Mazdaspeed 6 GT
        07 GSX-R 600 K7

I want to keep it stock blue. I love LEDs and I'm going to put in HID projectors if I can (both I've already done to my Grand Marquis) but I'm not going to rice it out or anything. Just a modern touch.

I like the fuel economy of it especially and enjoy the jokes like "who needs a hybrid?" but nothing I can think of will fit on a license plate.

How many letters can you use? Might have some bearing on what we come up with.

That depends on the letters used (as far as space is concerned). In Oklahoma it's 7 characters (letters, numbers and spaces).

              I went with HIP2SIP on my '92.

How about BLULITE referring to the lights and lite as for the weight of the car. There is also the blue light special at K Mart. You could get the tag and then get a vinyl decal that says "special" for the hatch. Okay, that's a bit too far.

Haha, good idea but I though blue light specials were a bit... different from the topics usually discussed here.

Will it be fast? Then how about "IXLR8" (I accelerate)? Or "A fast 1"?

Building for gas mileage? then "50 MPG"

Since mine is about the smallest thing I've ever owned, I might go with "TNY CAR" (Tiny Car).

When you click on the "crazy license plates" link, there is a small egg-shaped car called the Ford Ka.
