Check CL and classifieds every day and be willing to drive across a few states to get one. Lots of people on here post CL ads from their area in an effort to help others like yourself. Any time you see someone with a Capri or 323 in a parking lot, in their yard or whatever, talk to them if at all possible. There's a good chance they may know someone who has parts or other cars like theirs. Gearheads with a fetish for a specific brand or model (like Festivas) tend to attract each other.

I looked forever to even find a good B6 (SOHC) within 100 miles of me. Then 6 months later I found a complete Capri XR2 (B6T) donor not more than 1/2 mile from a place I used to work for 15 years. Patience and persistence are the key....and a little luck never hurts!

thanks found one on ebay for 500 plus shipping but no harness or anything else i would need from the actual car. plus i live in new england so 323's and merc capri's are few and far between. The closest b6t on the junk yard directory is 61 miles away for $750 just the engine with know other idea if the donor is still there or crushed.. not to mention that i been lookin for all of this stuff for a while....

Maybe consider doing a BP swap instead. Alot easy to find a BP because they were offered in alot more cars than the B6T.

Probably just as much work. But the chances of finding one in a salvage yard is alot more easier. Check Car-part.com, there are lots listed in the New England area.

This is the only route imo. A whole donor car that you can get everything you need from. You can actually make money doing it this way.

Well regardless of what type of engine 100 bucks is a good price for a decent engine in my opinion. Plus it being a rare GTX engine makes it all the better!

$100 for a good gtx engine is a no brainer. Get it. But still get a donor car.
