Why festiva owners are truly the best

I have to give it to mattswabb, he is truly a festiva fanatic. He came down around my area on sunday basically in the middle of a blizzard from ohio. Not only that but his friend came and drove one all the way home. What other group of car owners do you know would do this for a car. This is why festiva owners are truly the best and it proves that we will do anything for their "festiva habit". Just wanted to give props to matt and his friend for taking the journey in a foot of snow!!! Good job matt!!

Mark do you remeber the snow storm last April (first weekend)? It wasn't so bad out your way but between Ohio and Philly there was alot of bad snow. I had bought a Festiva from somewhere near you (Landisville PA). I left Ohio and the turnpike was 1 snow covered lane at 30 MPH all the way through Ohio and a big part of western PA. What should have been a 10 trip turned into approx 16 hours. So I know what Matt is going through, amazing what we'll do for these cars!

What a trip. Drove there in the middle of the night, lots of snow. Philly had so much snow in the streets (about 12") I thought we wouldn't even be able to get back on the highway. People all over the place off the roads, cars couldn't even get off the highway at some exits because the snow was too deep. By the time we got to the PA turnpike the roads were being cleared and we made good time home. The 1st hour on the way home was terrible, 20mph.

Well now I have my BPT car. Once I make room in the garage the project will start. Hopefully by next weekend.

I took a Mercury Mountaineer with a tow dolly there. I towed back the white festiva and my friend bought the blue one and drove it back.

Also did the whole trip on no sleep. We left Saturday night at 10pm, met up with Brian (25horseplay) to pick up a tranny from him and I left out about 11:30 pm. Arrived around 9am, loaded up and left about 10:30 and drove straight home. 900 mile round trip.

Last weekend was 1400 miles straight no sleep. I'm done driving for a while. I'll be in the garage.

I went to Philly to get a 323gt. About 250 miles from home my hitch broke so I had to leave the car and dolly, drive home, switch trucks with a friend, drive back, hook up and drive home. So the 900 mile trip had a 500 mile addition to it.
