  • Fun productive day

I posted the 92 L that was for sale here on ebay. Then my dad told me to end the auction early because he wanted it. Then he backed out Then I sold it to one of the ebay bidders. For $1300! I've been in contact with another bidder since then. He wants an efi 5 speed with no rust delivered to Mass! He cares primarily about mechanical condition. He calls himself obsessive about putting a lot of new parts on. He'd rather pay a specialist (me paying oneeyepizzaguy) before delivery than get it and pay more for a general mechanic without as much specialized festiva info. So I got a 4 speed efi festiva (built previously by Jack) and got busy. I'm still in a sling with just one functional arm so I made all the parts and food runs. Oneeyepizzaguy swapped in today....
    1. A five speed trans
    2. A new clutch
    3. resurfaced flywheel
    4. Rotors, hubs, struts from a 105,000 mile festy I parted out
    5. Distributor cap
    6. rotor button
    7. two stage Tstat
    8. timing belt
    9. water pump
    10. rear main seal
    11. front seal
    12. camshaft seal
    13. valve cover gasket
    14. oil and filter
    15. plugs
    16. wires
    17. lower control arms
    18. sway bar bushings
    19. vent bezel
    20. pass. axle

MAN! It ought to run and handle great now!!! I had to come home for daddy duty. Rick is still slaving away! I will be pulling a festyxfi and towing it to Mass with my new cream puff 90LX. Will update with a pic thread once I hit the road. Should be a week or so before I deliver.

I'll be going from Roanoke VA to Sheffield, MA and back.
