ive read alot of bad reviews but like any ceramic clutch u need to do a proper break in, and who knows if thes reviews are done by people who did break it in properly? i was looking at the stage 2 but they are only good for 240 hp, im only shooting for 220hp but would like to know that my clutch will hold more than i am gunna make.

I just googled it & they seem to have issues with all the other makes; seems that they like to go out before 10,000 miles, and some chunking apart.

this might be a good compermise, i just dont want an "organic" clutch.

my exedy i have in my festy is the kevlar material and it seems to grip really well, ive got only 10,000mi on it but its seen alot of hard abuse over 2 yrs and still grips like crazy!

I understand where you are going with this, but really you have to ask them.

I think you're right that there may be some issues with improper break in, but I've worked with companies that import products & I can tell you that most of the time it has to do more with quality control.

For instance, a few years back, this type of question was being asked about ebay turbos. Some guys beat them up & they lasted forever and then other guys babied their turbos & they would shell out in spectacular fashion. Everyone tried to come up with reasons for it & thought that it might have something to do with improper oiling or cranking up the boost too high, etc. But after all the debate, there really wasn't too much rhyme or reason. It really came down to simple quality control at the manufacturing level.

No its for the xr2 g25 trans, exedy makes a nice kevlar clutch for the festy/ aspire for 100$ make sure before u get it that it sais "kevlar" not "organic" I have one in my festy and I love it. My friend phill has gone through 3 stock clutches since I installed my exedy clutch and I've done a lot of drags and auto-x and mine still holds really well and has not slipped in 2 yrs.
