Coming home tonight a Kingcab Chevy pulled out in front of me. It was a full lock up and near hit. It would have been a wreck but I saw the guy come to a stop at the stop sign ( I was on a through street ) and I was watching him, he never even turned in my direction so I was watching and sure enough he just eases on out. Never sped up or looked in his rear view mirrors. About hit him !!! I laid on the horn but he never acknowledged I even existed. My horn seemed pretty pityful in comparison to my anger so I came home and bought an air horn on Ebay. People are always pulling out in front of me I swear I almost know when its going to happen anymore. Next time I will be acknowledged.

Good call. Festiva's are small and get ignored sometimes, just as bad drivers are the most dangerous things for bikers cause people don't watch for bikes. Bikers straight pipe their bikes. Festiva drivers install air horns and train horns! heheh

I too need to get the attention of those idiots. I have a tendency to have my thumb on the horn before the idiot I'm prempting to be an idiot becomes an idiot.

I've always wanted a rear facing horn on my car too...

Here's my recent thread on the horn upgrade I've done... Grand Marquis Horns on my Festiva.

Fresh, let us know how the new horn sounds, maybe a comparison video with the stocker? Very tempting to get one of those. Just wanna know if its worth the $20 and time/effort.

I had that happen to me awhile back. A pickup truck pulled right out in front of me like I wasn't there. The speed limit of the road I was on was 45 MPH, and thats what I was doing. I came within just feet of him. I was holding the horn down but I don't think he heard it until I was just inches from his drivers door. Sometimes I think Festivas are invisible to other drivers.

Had a horn from Griot's Garage on my '86 Saab 900 that would wake up everyone from a dead sleep for a half a block.
