  • I never have money for my motor swap...

I always find something else I want to buy. Its just about racing season for me and my dirtbike, so I keep buying new parts for my bike. My dad traded in my truck and his to get a new one even though I paid for mine (boy was I pissed). So now I need to buy a truck.

I have my 88 Festy and know its harder to do a different motor swap with a carb, but i've got some great advice from Festy46.

I've got about 1200 in the bank right now, but cant find a motor? This sucks

    Carb to efi=cheap
Buy a motor online and get it shipped(most come with warranty)
My bro got a civic 1.5 on ebay and paid $650 shipped! which is not bad
considering a junkyard engine plus seals and stuff.

Don't worry, not enough money is a very very common problem. $1200 should be way plenty for any swap.

Just go find a festy with an fi harness, rip that bastard out and throw it in your car.
If u do that then u will have almost limitless options for an engine! 100% worth the time and effort!

^Or go buy another festy $1200 is enough for another one.
2 stock festys beats 1 swapped festy in my opinion anyways.

The money I have is going towards buying a new truck, I need to get to my races here in a month or so. If I could just buy a new motor, I would...

The reason I have 1200 is because I just sold a Festiva so I could pay for my truck lol. This is the trouble I get myself into

What about a trailer? You can pull bikes with a Festiva, and it gets much better gas mileage... Besides, most small trailers like that are Class I or II ball anyway.

I've thought about that, But I am really a truck guy. I love my Festiva to death and wouldnt give it up for anything. but part of me misses the looks I got in my lifted truck. Plus the girls liked it a little more than the Festy

Everybody has a truck, the trailer cost about $400 new IIRC.

Like I said before fresh, I'm more of a truck guy. So its killing me not having a truck. Although the trailer might be a great alternative, its just not practical for me when I plan to haul 3 bikes and guys and gear.

Not quite... Its an even match, but I need to have both lol. I want my festy for driving to work and just driving around, then my truck when I go over east to go ride.
