What do you guys think about this? Is he asking too much? No real way to tell about how much mileage is on the car but that's not a major concern. What concerns me is the voltage reg he says needs changing? Is that an easy fix?

And yea its an auto which sucks but I will take what I can get cheap at this point (if I can drive the thing) because as gas prices climb, they're getting scarce around here.

600 is a little high (for me imo) I got mine for 400$ with it only needing a clutch, and it has one small dent in the rear fender. Its up to u to make the decesion, too bad its missing one of the alloy wheels

You might ask him what happened to the missing ally wheel. He may have it off the car and it's not really "missing."

Go and look at it. Yeah, $600 is more than we'd like to pay, but the rising gas prices are at work here.

I love the "$600 is a little high" comments. Around here, if you can even find one, $600 is a bargain.

Looks more like an L Plus, but note the older style grille. Perhaps a previous owner switched bumpers too, or painted them black along with the rub strips.

Who knows? At this point, Festivas are becoming much like GI M1 Carbines: rebuilt several times and unlikely to have all the "original" features.

I have been looking for one for a few months now and anything worth having is few and far between this side of the Pacific Ocean and well over $600. Look at it and get the real scoop.

.... With an add like that and a final statement like "Please no scrap yard OFFERS the price is FIRM!!!" I am inclined to let them keep it. It's just too much, especially considering the time and the money you would have to put in to it to get it up to speed. Unless of course NONE of this matters to you!!

It needs a lot done IMO. The front bearings (if those are bad) are not cheap. The "valve seals" is generic for "I don't know why it smokes but that sounds better than piston rings". Think about the cost of replacing the engine and ad it to what the seller is asking. It's an automatic too. I would pass.

I would pass. I paid 900 for my 91GL. all I've done is drive it. Oh and an oil change plus brake pads.

Talk him down a little. I have one extra alloy wheel for cheap if you buy his car.

Thanks for all the replies I decided to pass on it. Way too much for $600 IMO. As much as I want to get in on the Festiva thing I'm willing to be wise about it.
