found XR2 with b6t still in at JY

I went to the ljy today to get a few parts. Quite a few actually and stumbled upon this car. I asked him how much for the motor (tranny is auto) and he said it sounded good when he put it out a while back. It is covered and has been since. Not sure of mileage but would guess decent cause of condition of car. There was a little front damage but didn't get to motor. Said $300. I would guess it would make a good parts motor. If anyone is interested lmk and we can hook up.

i dont think they ever made a b6t automatic?? did they?? is the turbo and everything still attatched?? harness?? computer?? vaf??

here is what I saw. A Capri with the wing removed. Hood was removed but there was a cover over top of the engine. I walked by and saw it was auto. Came to front and pulled cover off. First thing I saw was the dual overhead cams. I know absolutely negatory about any engine other than a b3. I have only seen pics on here of the valve covers on your guys's b6t's and this looked the same. I then saw the front damage and wasn't able to see the turbo or actually didn't even know where to look or what I was even looking for.

I did see 3 Yugo's, 1 Tracer, a quadragillion Escort LX's, 1 EGT, 6 Metro's, and 8 Festivas most of 'em LX's and all of them were really picked over. Mostly by me for my first Festiva build project. This time was for generic parts.

the top of the intake (looks like a b3 intake) should say "turbo" and the cast manifold with the turbo hanging there will be a dead giveaway, should also be badged as a "xr2" and the valvecovers all say 16 valve dohc regardless if it is turbo or not.

it could be a turbo, take a closer look next time u go there.
