    Somethings not right!
I read about that many years ago when VW as testing it!
So "3 years from concept to a car" is not correct.
Guess I need to do some digging.
Bravekozak, will Canada let you import one without all the crap we here in the USA have to deal with?

According to the article getting them to canada is do able, of course our great government won't let us have one of these. I would buy one in a heart beat, awesome commuter car.

no cage, no impact buffer zone, since its 4 wheels it doesn't qualify as a motorcycle so that means no helmet required....

That's actually the VW L1 concept car. Definitely NOT going on sale anywhere, unless they're going to rip off VW and make cheap copies.

This is the production version of it, the XL-1:

meh...Nothing like that ever reaches North American roads (I can't speak for the rest of the world since I don't keep track). I'll believe it when I see it on the road. And there will not be a $600 price tag on that!

It wont pass here , you need to have 10kmh bumpers on all cars.

Thats why we cant have the australian Fords (or any aussies) , and a bunch of other cars as well.

We just banned RHD cars , so yea good luck with that.

Yeah, but it's shaped like a coffin, so you'll save yourself a few bucks for down the road....not sure how far down the road...

I'm having difficulty figuring out how I'd ratchet-strap a couple of 4'x8' sheets of 3/4" plywood to the roof, or how I'd stuff a dozen 8' 2x4s inside (ALL doors&windows closed).

Also, how do I put a large heavy wooden desk upside-down on the roof and drive it home?

Or put a 360 cubic inch airplane engine inside the car to take it to the shop for repair?

is that with or without the coffin package?

you could have someone weld a hitch to the back and pull a trailer, eh?
