Went to a new yard today. Went up to the counter and they are super nice (still have no teeth and talk hillbilly). Told me where all the Festivas were. Quick way to get there was behind the building and climb the steep hill through the woods and turn right. I stopped 3 times getting to the top. I had my tool box in one hand and 3 pointed up the whole way. It was that steep. Stopped at the top for a good 5 minutes to get my breath back. HEART ATTACK #1. I turned right walked 50 feet and nearly had HEART ATTACK #2.
I saw a '90 LX and literaly felt a skipped beat. There was 6 festies there but I was only thinking what goodies I could carry down that hill and how many times I would have to walk back up it. Unfortunately it was either stripped mostly clean or had windows broken and the interior shot. I did get the only cool thing left, the "Swoopies". Oh yeah it did have a tach with nearly the same miles as is on my car. The face was broken but I think I can find a way to fix it. Trip meter doesn't reset either (anyone know how to fix that). Anyway the mirrors are in super condition just dull and in need od the "loose glass fix". No tray, wing, seats were wasted, cargo latch was mangled, cargo light gone, no a/c or p/s.
I did also find a few rust free under hood items that still look new.
I now have a new yard only 25 minutes away. There is also a yard I have never been to 25 minutes in the other direction. I called him today. He has 3 Festies. I think 2 are L's not sure on the 3rd. Will drive out next week.
Anyway turned out to be a great day outside the hospital.
