I will say though, maybe it is just me, but since I change the stat, the car definitely feels like it has allot more pep, also the starter sounds like it is cranking faster.
Anyone think of any reasoning behind this?
The starter I was just acting up after the stat change, and wouldn't start right away since the coolant from the head spilled a bit on it, but tapping it with tool got it to crank, and I noticed right away it cranked way faster then before.1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)

My 89 carbed 4 speed had check engine light on solid. Found out it was code 09. After removing air cleaner, I got a better look behind the engine. I found a green connector had come loose and plugged it back in. No more check engine light!
Also I believe the car has an original air filter, made of metal and rusty and very dirty! Time for a replacement95 Aspire SE Red (Eddie)

Fixed the speaker in my passenger door.
Also had a lifter tick this morning on startup, so the car is pretty much telling me to change the oil, but can't until I get paid.
Unrelated to the Festy, my Folk's Fusion needed new rear brake pads. Was down to metal on metal.
A bit surprised, I heard that rears don't wear down nearly as much fronts, and we just changed the fronts a few weeks ago, and the fronts were not anywhere near metal on metal, just down past the wear groove.
Also the passenger side caliper piston boot was binding up, which might have caused the excessive wear on that side.Last edited by TorqueEffect; 07-30-2013, 05:29 PM.1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)

Awhile back I swapped my manual mirrors with a member for his swoopies. The passenger swoopie needed the mirror secured and the driver mirror has cracked and had a hole in it. Well this weekend I found a Protege that had a busted passenger mirror, but a good drivers mirror so I decided to snag it to have an easier start for my power mirror project. This drivers mirror does wobble a bit so that will need addressed. I'll also be painting them the color of my car most likely.
