Drove it to Pull-a-Part. Hitch ball + metal bar that hold the ball, $3. Rust-free Aspire e-brake cable, $6.54. It'll be awesome to have a parking brake.. be the first one I've ever had on a car lol.
Also picked up 3 Kia Rio 'handle bars' (the straps you grab onto when getting out of a car). Can't wait to install in the Festiva!

I fixed the timing belt tensioner today, turns out I have been driving for months with the only thing holding that tensioner was the spring, and the belt tension, not even a broken bolt, bolt was completely gone. Luckily I found a bolt in a pile of bolts that was just the right size and length, so I used that. Now the engine is nice and quiet, Well about as quiet as a 24 year old, never been rebuilt engine can be. That tensioner flopping around made ALLOT of noise.
Originally posted by muleskinner View PostOh yeah, the thermostat housing I forgot about that. I will get them tomorrow morning as well. I know one of the 5 Festies does not have that housing because the head was missing on the one. I'm hoping one of 2 Festies I didn't see has a good radiator in it. Oherwise I will have to get a new one of those.1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)

Do any of them have a rust free hood? I could use one.1993 Ford Festiva L blue 170,000 miles

Got to finally use my new auxiliary lights. They help visibility significantly. Not bad for a pair of cheapies from Autozone.

Ah. Well it never hurts to ask. I can't really think of anything else I might want. Maybe a headliner, but I am better they want too much for one. I know U-pull wanted like $25 for a headliner. That is ridiculous.1993 Ford Festiva L blue 170,000 miles
