  • This one could if we keep talking about it!!

Anyhows, I really didn't do anything "to" my Festivas today, but I did buy these:

Here's how they would (sorta) look on Twin:

Of course they're just pressed up against the stock 12s.

They're 14 X 5.5" 1986 to 1988 RX7 alloys. They are 4 X 114.3 and will fit stock Festivas. I paid $50 for them. Tires are old and way too big, so I'll be taking them off. I think I'll keep and refinish them. (Gotta weigh them first to see how heavy they are.)

    • Brought home the yellow festiva I bought from gforcefd on here.

After about an hour of getting it secured on the trailer behind my fathers 4 cylinder s10, we loaded up the bike I also bought and took off.

Got it home, popped Steve's battery in there, cycled the fuel pump once, and fired it right up, old gas, no exhaust, and 2 lugs on each wheel, hand tight, I took it for a ride! Drives and shifts great!

I conditionally gave it to my Father. It remains mine, but he drives it, and is responsible for repairs. I'll buy the big stuff, like the windshield, and the 5 speed swap.

BTW, will a trans from an 86 Escort bolt to the stock Festiva engine?

This pic makes the festy look viewer than the s10 lol... Its the angle.

Pic is huge, but its on pb... And I can't resize it on mobile.

      • Yellow Festiva! Yay!! Looks nice, too.

No, I doubt an '86 Escort transaxle will bolt up.

Nice trailer, just fits the car, eh? Is that a converted camper chassis?

        • Yep, it is. It needs work, floor and the left spring is tweaked a little.

          • .... Is the wheel missing off the trailer or does it just look that way? :?:

                  • Enjoy it, Charlie! Went to the pull a part today and couldn't find another switch that would work. So few mazdas, no escorts and only the tracer we already ripped in to. Guess I'll have to check at pick a part later. I did pull the spark plugs on that b6 that Dennis was looking at pulling the trans from. Not terrible, but certainly not maintained. Lordy the swap wheels are turning over here . No $$ though, so I guess I need to sell some spare parts.

Just got word from my brother. He's on I-70 finally. I'm all antsy with my festy out and me not in it. I'll bet he expects me to run him home, too. Gah!

                    • The wheel is om the trailer, but its a12"... (how fitting...), and the shadow + angle hides it, while making the festiva look almost as big as the S10.

                              • Reinstalled passenger axle, removed exhaust studs out of festiva manifold and installed into b8-me manifold. Soaked the rest of the connection pieces to be removed and welded tomorrow. I removed mystery throttle body to take with me tomorrow for a core. I bought a bottle of regane. Had a hard time with the throttle cable ill finish it when the correct TB is on there. Removed drivers seat and going to bring it with me to make a civic hybrid bracket. Relocated a few factory grounds to make a home for new battery location. Wired half of the fuel pump re-wire.
