  • Twizted is running again

I got the new engine in Twizted and he's running good again. While I was at it I replaced and cleaned up a bunch of other little odds and ends. Found a few small vacuum leaks and repaired those, I also replaced a bad pilot bearing that I found while I had it apart. I am relieved it's fixed again and running like it's old self. It felt so good to take it out and drive it again.

Yes, I found several spots where the hoses were slid on, but not sealing. So you were spot on about that. Still idles at 900 once it warms up, but I can sort that all out this weekend. Thank you for the advice!

PS: Can you send me the proceedure for setting the timing? I can't remember what to diconnect to set it. Or if I just ground the 1-pin like on an EFI car.

Oh sorry Jay, you need to block off the red? (high vac) line to the dizzy. this sets your base mechanical timing. Note, you have to be up to temp and idle must stay between 600-650 rpm durring adjustments.
