  • Ran my first full tank through the Festiva

I just filled up my Festiva GL that has power steering and AC for the second time. I got 43.3 mpg out of my first
tank with a mix of highway and stop and go traffic. The only problem I had this week was not knowing that heat didn't come out of the vents in the front of the dash and freezing my ass off in the morning. Oh well, now I know how to get the heat to work. All I did was drive normal to get that MPG. Now its time to do some tweaks to see if I can do better. I'm going to do a tune up this week end and maybe put 40 psi of air in the tires.

How much can advance the timing if your willing to run high test?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Without advancing the timing if you use 89 you'll get better MPG, than using 87.

i found that 10* BTDC with 93 oct works well.

I was hoping for a little more HP and better MPG's. What could I see if I advance the timing to 10* and run high test?
