Replaced exhaust reso pipe, idle issues gone!

I had posted a question for help with my idle issues I was having with my Accord a little while back. It didn't start easily, would keep turning over when I shut it off, and would idle very high. Today I got my exhaust done. I paid started my car drove my car shut my car off took my car for another drive :hello1:

I just don't quite understand why that has solved my problem. I realize that back pressure has an effect, but to cause those problems? Another thing, it seems to have a bit more pep! I wonder if an old reso pipe could after time restrict airflow and perhaps build backpressure.

yeah the accords NEED that backpressure to run right, the engine is so high strung that when you remmove the backpressure, the air/fuel charge can escape through the exhaust valve and kill power/torque.
