  • Just got in and almost wrecked

2 miles from home on brambleton ave after driving safely all the way home from Clemson SC a big trooper pulls out in front of us. I locked up the brakes, skidded maybe 2 car lengths, at the last second I let off the brakes swerved to the left and slipped past it, BARELY. MAN we were scared! Y thanked me for the evasive maneuver. Phew!

Well done. Shame to think you could have been starting a #25 thread out of need not fun. Statistics don't lie. Not your fault but there's another one 5 minutes from home...

Did you at least give him the deathegg avatar salute?

I didn't have time to even lay on the horn. It was terrifying.

Another one of these. Man, it's good to hear you had your wits about you to avoid contact. Good thing you had room to move into.

I had that with my red festiva once when the b6t was in it, I ended up on someones front yard

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Glad to hear you are all well and defensive driving skills are a real plus when driving a Festiva. I have myself encountered many close calls on 64 in VA driving in the Hampton Roads traffic.

I'm glad that you're safe! I myself had to use a shoulder maneuver when dealing with a Cherokee.

I am a defensive maniac as I call it. I drive fast and pass people, but am very good about maintaning control, not getting too close, and avoiding the full-on maniacs.

Good to hear ya made it alright. You say it was a cop?

The wife looked out, then got mad at her husband for getting a new lawn ornament without her permission. hehe

Okay, what really happened? I suppose you must have posted that somewhere while I wasn't around. Did you escape unscathed?
