2 miles from home on brambleton ave after driving safely all the way home from Clemson SC a big trooper pulls out in front of us. I locked up the brakes, skidded maybe 2 car lengths, at the last second I let off the brakes swerved to the left and slipped past it, BARELY. MAN we were scared! Y thanked me for the evasive maneuver. Phew!

Glad to hear you are all well and defensive driving skills are a real plus when driving a Festiva. I have myself encountered many close calls on 64 in VA driving in the Hampton Roads traffic.91 Festiva GL "Scrat"

I am a defensive maniac as I call it. I drive fast and pass people, but am very good about maintaning control, not getting too close, and avoiding the full-on maniacs.
