Ford aspire will have brakes and suspension that are a complete upgrade to your car.
Old mazda 323's have a larger 1.6 engine that you can swap into your car and it will be faster. Most people say the gas mileage is about the same because the engine does not have to work as hard to get moving in city driving.
As far as individual pieces there isnt as much as what people MAKE fit for their custom needs. A benefit of these cars being so cheap we are not scared to cut them up to see what works.
As far as the engine itself, some people (including me) if they do not know the engine history do not waste their time working on it, they replace the whole thing. Many people on here want larger engines and sometimes give away their b3 if they are sick of looking at it. (including me again)
