I'd be all over it. A good aspire swap is right around that range, especially if you've been looking for a while. Also the motor and tranny could be sold to close what the price is and also parting out some stuff and then scrapping it would make you some money and you get a free swap.

Go leave a deposit. If someone else offers to buy it before you can say bye bye.

Hmm I wonder if he'd take 500 cash right now

Just kidding! Sounds like a good deal to me! Could be an extra motor/tranny for you or to sell.

It's totally worth it! I would personally take the swap entirely apart, have the knuckles, hubs, drums, and rear spindles acid washed at a shop and then get the knuckles and backplates powder-coated. I'd have the rear beam sandblasted and powder-coated as well, just to give you the utmost longevity since you live in a salt-spray area.

Hey speaking of backing plates/dust shields. Are they available new,Im guessing no. But I thought I'd ask cuz mine look like a wrinkled mess. And I'm def gonna bead blast/paint/bake. Those shields are gonna make my picture look like crud

I told him I was coming to get it tomorrow so I guess my Festy will be aspire swapped soon.
                    Got a couple questions.
First of all can I throw the suspension off the Festy on the aspire so it can still be a roller? I assume you can just wanna check.
And lastly, not sure what all I need for the swap besides the parts on the car. I've seen other write ups that say one of the lines doesn't fit so you have to get that piece and slot of people throw on escort tie rod ends I think. What's the reasoning behind this??

The rear brake lines are a little different from what I gather. But it wont matter for you or me cuz we'll realize it as we go. Just dont snap the bolts holding the rear torsion axle brackets on.I've read that in the salt states, they can be corroded badly. If they give me any grief I'm getting the torch out. And are you talking about a "roller" like as in reinstall the festy stuff. So as you can "Roll" it to the scrap yard?
