  • Is a Festiva timing belt round or square tooth?

I'm going to go ahead and put one on, (car is 25 miles away at my work) and I got to thinking about another car I heard about that someone made the wrong kind of tooth for. Autozone shows a Duralast Dayco that had round teeth for $17.99 and I just want to make sure I get the right one. Probably won't get that one, I'd rather have a Gates or maybe a Ford one.

Coolio, Is there a brand preference? I forgot Goodyear makes a Gatorback belt.

Yeah, I'd go with Gates or Goodyear before I'd stick on a Duralast. This is an excellent example of buying the best parts available.

Larry, don't know how long you've had water pump on, but you may think about changing it if you got money and time to get one. Wouldn't hurt. I put new pump on when I did my belt since you have it all apart.
