  • lug stud question

I'm having trouble finding a proper sized lug stud for the rear wheels of my 93 festiva L. The stock size is m12-1.5 21mm long with a 60 degree seat angle, the problem is, I need longer ones because I had to space out my rear wheels so I'd like to find one closer to 30mm long (i think). Also is it at all possible to convert the rear drums to have actual studs so i can just used lug nuts rather the the lug stud?

What makes you think i haven't tried searching for it? I don't get why everybody complains on this site about people not searching. Sure there are some things that are dead obvious to find, but just cuz you have mad searching skills doesnt mean you have to b*tch at everyone who doesn't. Thanks

Probably because it's the first sticky in the Custom Suspension, Brakes and Wheels section.

Lol. Take your rear hub plates off and drill them big enough to accept the knurl on M12 stud. Done.

BMW lug bolts are about 1/4" longer than stock Festiva bolt. They have the correct taper and I ran them on my car with 1/4" spacers.

LOL. I just got some today. If you have a VW Buggy shop near by they probley have them. Just ask for M12x1.5 in the lenght you want. The shop here carries them in bulk; not packaged; in various lengthes.:angel8: 16 cost me $16.95 incl tax.
