Don't really matter to me. As long as the wheels don't come loose everything is fine. I'm not rich and don't have a torque wrench so I just make due with what I got. My technique seems to be working the last 5 years I have been into festivas.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

not trying to be rude but it was all a joke and it was okay but its starting to get out of hand so everyone play nice, also the sarcastic people on this forum is the reason we have so many lookers and not posters because of how certain people act.... just sayin' ...Originally posted by FestYboy View Post1/4 turn after 70lb-ft is just over 100lb-ft, and not good for our hubs or studs... just sayin'

I was just saying you don't need a torque wrench to tighten your wheel studs. I have taken tires off these cars more then enough times to know that my wheel is tight and isn't going to come off. The only real time I use specific torque is running the stud conversion. On my last festy the lug nuts would always try to come loose. I think that was because they were junk autozone tuner lugs.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

LMAO it's ok. Can't go and do anything today but I am for sure doing all I can to it tomorrow. I actually need to gather up everything so I can get the front end together. I think i'll go out and do that shortly.Originally posted by thered56 View Post^^ Maybe you did over-torque it and stretched the threads. But anyways...I've once again got the ball rolling in the wrong direction...looking forward to seeing it get some tlc!89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422
