  • So I went to Pull-A-Part at lunch.....

No, Festys, three 2 door Aspires, many round Escorts (mirrors look like they'd work).

Went into the import section. Saw a MX-3 (I know I did, but I can't remember if these are pictures of it).

Can I use any of the A/C components off this on my '91 Festy?

I also saw these buckets in a Toyota, they sat real nice, think I'll go back and pick them up. Might grab the back seat too and see if I can get the upholstery modified to fit the Festy rear seat, or if I can make it work (need to go back with dimensions.....)

It had a dash clock too.

Get the whole motor out of the MX-3. That's a B6-ME

Thought about swapping those seats in a festy myself but found a killer set of crx seats instead. Those are definitely nice though!

        Tranny too? (it's a 5-speed of course)

And how much of the motor, as far as wiring and stuff, just disconnected and pulled out like you were going to put it on a stand with all the accesories?

            Don't only the V6 MX3s have G series transmission?

Guess so, at least that's what ClubProtege says. should be an F type.

Think I'll stay away from the engine swap, I got the car for the mileage.

I am looking at a MPGuino though.

the B6-ME will give you more power and you can still get Festy milage out of it (give or take 2mpg).

                      x2!!

If you decide to get it. Get the motor and engine harness, VAF, and ECM. The trans is an F series. I'd pick it up if you get a good deal. Never know what project car you could use it in next

Well, I'll keep it in mind for Ol Blue, I need to figure out why it stopped running, the P/O thinks its the timing, I haven't had the time to look at it yet. It had overheated and they surfaced the head, it run about 3 weeks then no more.
