  • Sad day at Pull a Part

So I went by pullapart after work today because their site said they got a festiva in a few days ago. I needed to look for a few things so I head straight for it when I get there....pretty nice looking white '90 L plus. So I start fiddlin around, checking to see if it has anything I need and it hits me....THIS IS MY OLD FESTIVA! That's right, it was my actual first festiva that I sold a while back. I'm not gonna name names, but I sold it to a member here! Funny thing is I ran into said member just the other day and he mentioned he sold it (didn't say he scrapped it out though!). Anyway, it was sad seeing my very first festiva sitting there on death row

That is sad, i remember seeing my first festiva get hauled off to the scrapyard (i sent it there though)

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

            me too

I hate to part em let alone scrap em. I picked up this blue 90 last year. I paid $300.00 sight unseen just because I heard it was going to the scrap yard the next day. I figured I could at least get some parts of it before scraping it. Went to get it and wound up driving it home. It is now fixed up and running around PA. I drove it 1200 miles to my brothers from FL. You know he is happy as he got out of a 90 Lincoln. Now he gets 40 mpg.

            SAVE EM IF YOU CAN

I saw the very first car that i owned (a 85 honda prelude) in a junk yard....I almost starting crying. It still had the surf shop stickers on the windows that I had put on it when I was 16.

That sucks, go get it out!
              No longer a festiva owner

I told him to report it stolen and try to get it back

That truly sucks. Would have been nice if the PO had given one of us a shot at it instead of sending it to the scrapper. If it was in bad shape I would have paid scrap price for it and found it nice spot for it in Festiva Acres with the other parts cars. If it was fixable I have 2 people looking for a car right now.

It ran fine when I sold it to him (he drove it home). Although I had to sell it to him as a parts car due to title issues, which makes me wonder how he was able to sell it to pap.....they require a title for all the cars they buy. I just had to get rid of it because I had already bought the future Hulk festy and didn't have anywhere to keep this one

^^ They only require a titles for cars 98 and up IIRC. I asked them about it one time when I was down there because I was thinking of hauling a few when I made the trip for parts. I figured it would pay for the gas and get me some parts money

I made a point to ask them about titles because many of the cars I have on the yard are abandoned vehicles so they don't have titles.

Oh, gotcha! Haha, he doesn't post here very often. When I saw him the other day I asked him about 4thstiva but he said it was hard for him to get away on the weekends. If I only knew then what I know now I would have forced him to come so Angie could take all her aggressions toward me out on him!

maybe he sold it to a non-member and they scrapped it.
