Log style turbo manifold ideas.

Well since I have started working again I have been pondering about building a turbo setup on my later built BP engine. Right now im trying to get a BPT manifold but if not im thinking about building my own log style manifold to use on a newer miata head. I was thinking about some of the honda kits they have on ebay but not sure what I would need to do in order to make this all work. So far i know I need to get a BP header flange made in order to adapt it to the log kit. My turbo flange is going to be a T-25 flange for a mitsu turbo charger. Basically what im wondering is, do you guys think the honda log kit would be a good idea to get and adapt from? With the newer style head I know the older headers would be upside down, this is why I want to build my own. Building my own would also allow me to try and keep the turbo as close to the block as possible to try and save on space.

To me the kit looks alittle cheap. What do you guys think?

I think the honda kits are a good place to start as a reference but i think you should definitely weld all the metal from scratch i really dont like cheap chinese metal. Unless you can guarantee the quality on the metal then im all for it.

Bought something on ebay the other day torqued the head off all four 3/8s inch bolts.

The quality in those kits look 100x times better. Might have to bite the price bullet and try to build one.

I got my head flange from jgs turbo and I wish i didn't! They are way overpriced. Just look around before you buy.

Don't waste the money on a cheap ebay made in china manifold, it WILL break. They are made out of very low grade, very thin stainless. Even with bracing they crack.

Ya im going to see if rocket man can make me a flange. I PM'ed him but havent heard back yet. Would you be willing to make another manifold like that resuwrecked?
