Pulled this out of the 98 second gen festiva (aspire) i bought.

    Arr, HELP!

Never seen a b series motor ecu like it. I also have no clue what the black box is, maybe abs? I know it has abs.

I've never seen any ECU like it either. It does have a "KIA" sticker on it, so I would say this would be more related to Rios (originally named "New Pride") or other Kias.

Was it from a '98 Avella?

I've never pulled an Aspire ECU so maybe that's what they look like. Then again, you're in Australia and this would be one year after Aspires were discontinued in the U.S.

Sorry I can't be of any help.

It's possible it could an OBD2 ecu, hence the dramatic difference lol

          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

doesn't look like the USDM aspire ECU's. ours were all 3 plug jobs. That is an interesting piece! I'd say look into the KIA RIO Ecu.
