Registered Festivas left on the road!

Hey guys,

A member on CP.com has been nice enough to provide some data regarding how many cars are left on the road. This information is collected so aftermarket companys can project what & how many parts to make. These numbers are cars registered in 2010.

I can't attest to it's accuracy, but it seems to be pretty close. Here's Festiva numbers:

Whoo Hooo, I have a couple of the ones that have low numbers. Makes me feel good to keep them alive.

I was surprised to see that one of them is now showing less than a 1000 on the road.

i can attest to the fact that those numbers are inaccurate (i own a few that aren't registered...)

I think those numbers would only be for the ones that have been sold to a new owner, therefore the true number of how many that are left on the road would be higher then the numbers shown

If I understand correctly there were some 350,000 of them sold in north America between 88 and 93. If in fact there are almost 60,000 still plated (does that include Canada?) 20 years later then I'm impressed. In the salt belt (like where I am) they've virtually all disappeared. I cannot emphasize enough the benefits of routine oil sprays.
The other day in the village of Winchester, while looking at mine, someone commented about not having seen a Festiva in a long time and buddy that was with me said "I guess not, he's got them all". Okay, it's sort of true. I do have 3 runners and 1 parts car.

I'd shudder at the merkur xr4ti statistics. My srt-4 is getting more and more rare, to the point where conversion and swaps are popping up everywhere too.

I think there are a bunch of missing ones or duplicate titled ones just like DSMs and other niche cars because of owners getting around title and emission issues.

Only 2000 underseat trays issued in the states? Fortunately for me and for the purists, i am NOT a purist. 1989 and 1990 only correct?
