I'm fairly new to the forums here, but have been driving Festy's since the mid 90s, just never really worked on them. I've got an 88 carbed 4spd that the motor is fried on, burnt oil pretty bad and the wife just drove it that way and never checked the oil. Ahem. Dead motor. I could rebuild everything, but thought I'd do some searching. Found a 91 motor with EFI. Just the motor, no transmission, nothing. So, I'd like to put the motor in, but I really don't want to swap out everything to go to EFI. Can I just put my carb on the newer motor (basically, I realized there is more to it than just that), or will I need to switch over a crap ton of stuff to do it? Thanks!
