Just got hit with an earthquake here in MD. Went to turn on radio and Carole King song "I feel the earth move under my feet" was playing. Freaky stuff.

Felt it here in NC. I just thought there was a fat guy walking on my front porch

Yahoo News says the epicenter was in Mineral, VA. So I guess for once Virginia does ROCK! LOL

Out here in WA, all of these quakes concern us, because they put even more stress on the remaining faults, the few that haven't gone in a big way recently are on the west coast here, and we're like 100 years over due for our 500 year quake, Apocalypse 10.0 here we come!!
Edit: must have been a pretty shallow 5.8 if you guys think it was big, as far as shakes go, 5.8 is pretty mild

On the road when it happened. Can't tell if I felt it, or if the car just felt a little more bouncy than usual.

Didn't feel it at my house on James Island, but my daughter who works across the harbor on the third floor of a building in downtown Charleston said they definitely felt it.

People nearby said they felt it though.
