  • I was almost in a really bad accident this morning....

I was coming to work and crossing over I-44 in the left hand lane on Broadway Extension in OKC. The bridge has a crown to it, being so far down in the car with a black SUV two cars in front of me with dark tinted windows contributed to the possible accident. Behind me was a big maroon Tahoe.

The black SUV started braking, as did the white car in front of me, I followed suite, but then the black SUV's back end rose up as he got on the binders hard. The white car did as well and darted towards the left, there's maybe 2 feet past the white line to the center wall. I got on mine, sorta scary, and I went right, but not to the right lane as I hadn't had time to make sure it was empty. Usually my head is on a swivel, always being aware of whose around me, but not this morning. I got near the stripes between the lanes, but not over.

Looking in the rear view mirror all I could see was Chevy emblem coming at me as she locked up her brakes, thinking, oooohhh, this is gonna hurt. But miraculously, she somehow darted into the right lane narrowly missing my right side.

That does sound like a close call, i had one like that a couple years ago, i was driving down the road (in town) and the on coming car decided to turn crossing into my lane (pulling into his driveway) and the roads were wet and i could not stop, brakes just kept locking up, so last second i swerved into the driveway opening and onto someones front lawn, i dam near got out of the car to rip the guys head right off, but he quickly apologized which stopped me from screaming as loud as i could at the guy lol
