I didn't pay to have it painted just bought materials what about all the time me prepping and painting and cost of booth and everything that goes into it. There gonna give me $500 and tell me to get lost. Can't be missing FMV.

I shed a tear with you sir!
don't settle like that. Guy here had a bike that he poured many years of his life into and made many custom parts himself. They were gonna give him what a low rider was worth. What it was insured as....bike was worth $125,000 easy...was in numerous magazines and such. He fought and showed all his receipts and and work and documented how much it was worth...he ended up with over $100,000 for it by fighting.

I am not saying you will get everything out of it but you do not have to just take their offer.

by the way...the insurance pays per accident...does not get split between everybody

Lawyer time !!!!! I would not take an offer or even talk to anyone .. your upset now ,wait a day and get good and pissed off, then go see a lawyer .. The car looks like it can be fixed. You have a choice to make there as well . I'm sure if you made a parts donate post you could get all of them ..
New build on the way .

I'm gonna try to get it fixed before madness. If anything pops up and I need I will put up wtb. I gotta pull out my painting tools. Maybe Greg will let me borrow his booth to spray in. Hopefully the hatch is good it won't open at the moment. I checked the frame and engine nothing has moved. After the insurance company sees it I will pull it apart and get a real good idea. I doubt they will do anything with it.

I feel like I'm letting everyone down wrecking this car but it wasn't my fault. She will be back!

              Crown and coke tonight!

Get a lawyer, and DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR OFFER! You have pictures documenting the entire build no? As much as it sucks, you can and should get a fair settlement out of this........

                OR

Because you developed a back injury from this accident you can get a nice injury claim going, and get your money that way! It may not have hurt at the time due to adrenalin and such, but man, you couldn’t get out of bed the next day......could you? Not only that, there is something to be said about the emotional strain this has put on you! You are having issues sleeping, and it is starting to affect your performance at work, and is even messing up your sex life!

Believe me, the list is long, GET A LAWYER!

I went through the same thing. I know how you feel. Insurance gave me $1800 for it and I bought it back with a salvage title for a little over $100.

If he was laughing about it and made a point to correct you on the price of his prosthetic member replacement then I say make him pay up (and I'm not one to yell lawyer). With the proper documentation and a good lawyer you should be able to get a good bit more than $500.

Just glad to hear you walked away and I'm sure we can round up any and every part you need to get her back on the road.
