  • Got my first Festiva!

Had my eyes peeled for a long time looking for a solid festiva. I worked out a deal with micheal11, and bought his beauty festiva as well as his parts collection. Its a 1993 cLX and has very low mileage, around 87,000km. Shes a 5 speed and has lots of nice options. (spoiler, split rearseats, cargo cover, painted bumpers etc..)

Truck loaded up with all the parts.

    Parts:

And the festiva (still trying to think of a name for it...)

Got it home, and gave it a good wash. Can't believe how amazing it is on gas. I'm going to drive it while the weather is nice, then garage it for the winter.

And I thought I'd include this nice picture I took on my boat. (Lake Erie)

Two things I noticed that were very insteresting. One is the direction of the cloth on the door panels and I have never seen a split bench rear seat with GL cloth. Very nice find and congratulations. Welcome aboard and can't wait to see it all cleaned up.

Well It pains me a bit... Seriously.

I sold it because I needed a truck. As soon as we struck a deal, I got a job OUT of town (in Niagara Falls) Now I am spending huge money in gas, and need to find a car again.... My timing really sucks.

Sadly, I think I am done with Festiva's for now. Mainly because I will never find one that nice again, and I don't want to settle for less.

I am going to put the 96 F150 up for sale, and I think I may pick up a Crown Victoria Panther (cop car) I hear they are actually pretty decent on fuel, and I always wanted one.. Either that or another Subaru. I have Subie love too

Anyway, I know I sold it the right person, and wouldn't have let to go to someone that wouldn't take of it...

OH BTW Kevin, IF you do decide to part with it sometime in the future, I want dibs!!!
