  • Purchased #10!!!!

I bought a 1993 GL auto, a/c, wiper, defrost, cruise, remote start, alloys, passenger manual mirror, and back window dash! 350 bucks! He offered another one for another 150 but I have no way of getting it home. I am 600 miles from home working so I couldn't get it back. Its a 1989 auto l plus. Pictures when I pick it up tomorrow.

it should be on the other side of the column...

It should be on the feft side of the column just behind the turn signal lever, thats odd, i don't see a cruise stalk, maybe it's not a complete unit.

With the speed sensor already in place, it would be much easier to install an aftermarket cruise control kit!

Stock cc had control switches in the area under the gauge cluster, just like the rear window defrost and wiper, but on the left side.

This pic is from an '89LX that I mined for some parts a while back. Look at the short stalk mounted on the bottom steering column cover which is dangling on the left of the pic:

That's what it should look like. Maybe it has been ripped off? Look for a hole or two: one for the short stalk to poke through and one for a rivet to hold it on (the light colored rivet is visible in this pic too). That column cover is dangling by the cruise control wires. It would have been a lot of work for me to remove all the cruise stuff, plus that 'yard wouldn't sell the speedo gear without me buying the whole transaxle! I just didn't have the time or inclination, and they wanted about $250 for the transaxle. (If they had said $150 I might have bought it.)

As it was I got most of the interior, the hatch, some body parts and the front seatbelts to have rewebbed. Hot, hot day work! Call me lazy if ya want.

Karl if you go back to that car i could sure use those parts, i'm trying to piece together a complete cruise unit.
