They aren't going to let me work on the car since it's a We-pull-it yard. It's being sold as a core motor, I can only really inspect the outside of the motor.

It's sold as a core motor only. No warranty because it's in the yard. If it was on the shelf it would be a different story but it's in a car. That's why I'm skeptical.
Also, I am not concerned if it's SNC or BNC. It's not that big of a deal to me, especially since I'm running a SNC right now for my B6T. How many people here with B6Ts were even concerned with this SNC/BNC crap?Current cars:

180 for a engine isnt bad considering im buying a kia G-series tranny that could possibly have problems for 150 bucks.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

I think I'm going to buy it guys. I'm looking at another Festiva on Friday and if that ends up being a no go then I'm getting the engine (and possibly those wheels I saw).Current cars:

Like I said, check the crank regardless of SNC/BNC... both can have problems if the crank bolt has ever been out and you didn't put it back in personally then you can't be sure how it was treated. I've seen both fail. . .Originally posted by chrisofna View PostAlso, I am not concerned if it's SNC or BNC.
