  • Dipstick measurement please.

I'm not having any luck in the classifieds getting a replacement dipstick. Does someone have the time to measure their dipstick from where it touches the top of the tube to the full line, so I can use a coat hanger or something until I find a new dipstick. My car uses oil and I desperately need to check the level. Pleeeeease.

Thanks, in the process of trying to get one from him. However, it still may be a week before I get it and have already been 4 weeks since I lost my dipstick. A measurement would really help me out so I don't run out of oil or overfill it.

16 inches is the actual length but 14 inches down is full and 14 and 7/8's (roughly) is low.

Thanks, I received it today. I was surprised after it being missing for several weeks and adding oil on occasion, that the level was right between add and full.
