  • Grey Ghost vs Skimsuckas B6T Gem

Me n RJ took our cars out for a little spin tonight to see how they matched up.

From a dead stop the Grey Ghost on (6-7lbs) pulled Skims (9lbs) till about mid 3rd because Skim had traction issues with his itty bitty 12'' wheels lol :nono:

From 2nd gear roll Skims car was creeping on by the Grey Ghost will a nice slow n steady pull! :eeeeeek:

Cant wait to turn the boost up but im saving my pennies for a wideband.

We will do this again skim....

Oh by the way these races were in MEXICO!! :glasses10:

Sweet i can't wait to race other festiva's lol

But speaking of racing stories, last night i was going down the highway and i seen a car coming up on me so i figured to play around a bit, it was dark out so at first clance i thought it was a corvette or something, as the guy got beside me to pass me, i floored it, and turned out it was a friggin viper!! of course the guy beat me but i didn't lose by much :evil4:

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Are you both using the same transaxles? Have fun out there and be safe. I know very little about Florida or 'Mexico' but i see upside down performance cars with wet ground in the news from time to time. In Fontana they turn on the sprinklers at 11pm on the good stretches of road, to water those drought resistant plants. Wouldn't doubt its also for street racers.

Long stretches of cow fields with fence on both sides no driveways and not within 10 miles of anything. Kind of like roads the go around corn fields. The main roads are too patrolled at anytime to play. Fhp (Florida highway patrol) would lock u up instantly if u got caught racing on the highway. We get rain daily most of the time weekly at least.

Gotta be careful pushing our cars 700 miles from home but there will be some playing.

I'm running a G series tranny with half shaft and Skim has the stock Festiva tranny

Im going to do some searching to see how the gears in the tranny's differ.

Idk if I like the idea of beating on my car 700 miles away from home, but it probably won't stop me from doing it lol

The gears in the Festiva are longer. That's why his car is gonna have the advantage at a higher rate of speed. But he will only be playing catch up from the light

But I shift forth in the 1/4 he probably won't have to be able to pull third should make for faster times. Greg ran a stock tranny for awhile. His b8 rear turbo used to run with my car because of the gearing.

I'm running the stock tranny and I actually like it. It has a good balance for mpg/acceleration. Unfortunately my Clutch does not want to keep up.

Are you guys really in Mexico? I thought it was a joke because you don't want to get implicated. I think id rather get in trouble for street racing stateside than over in mexico. Its still unsafe to others and if they see you have the money to make a car fast you have the money to be extorted too.
