  • can we please do something about old post bumping

    Hey everyone,

Can we somehow lock a post automatically after like a week without any new post in the subject? I went to "see new posts since last sign on" and there where like 40 subjects being bumped up that had died like months ago. A couple of weeks ago, someone was responding to posts from last year!

Just curious, can you set that up to lock out responding to them, but still be able to read them?

That problem has seemed to die down a bit the past few days. We had 1 person who responded to a ton of old posts.

What's the first thing we tell any newbie that asks a question? SEARCH! And now we're bitching because they do, and reply to an old post? Gah...you people need to move to Indiana so you can complain about having to change your clocks after years in the dark ages like all the other loser complainers!

This incident that he is referring to has nothing to do with a newbie searching for a topic and bringing it up to ask a question or comment on it. This user was just going down the list and posting nonsense.
