Dual Overhead Cam Wheel Locks OR Locking Tool
…. When I change a timing belt on a single overhead cam engine it’s no big deal. But I find when it comes to installing or replacing the timing belt on a twin or dual overhead cam set of wheels I always wish I had a third hand and four would be decent. My question is: How do the rest of you install or replace your Dual or Twin Cam Belts. I know there are commercial tools you can buy but not all of these are that “universal” and they are very expensive for the little bit of use we give them. How do you hold those wheels from moving long enough to install or change your belts? Do you have a special KNACK for doing this or a special TRICK or maybe a HOMEMADE tool? I’m in the process now of making a tool and I was wondering how the rest of you handle this problem. Maybe we can share some thoughts for each other here!!
