At a local junkyard( 1 1/2 hrs from my house) They have 3 festys. They were pretty clean cars for being in the junkyard. One a a like new interior in them(but not for long since i took the window ) I just went there last weekend. years were 92 89 and i think 91. Do the parts need to be off a 93? But if you wanted i could get parts for you and ship them to you. (u pay for shipping and the part). I live in Indiana and idk what shipping would be. Just throwing it out there. If its your last resort. Trying to help

well i got till dec 15 to get what i need an im suppose to start driving truck again this week ( hopefully all goes right crossed fingers ) so im gonna get on the road get some cash together then buy the headlight tailight an front signal get the thing legal an won't ever go to that place again .......thought about going for some media attention but it seems the shop is a state contracted deal ( people with more power than me in the area ) so best i can do is pass the word around town an let their bizz go away cuz people will stop going there when they find out it's a money hungry place trying to rip off with BS stuff

Gmiller123 .....any Idea what a drivers side headlight an tailight and a passenger side turn signal would cost from there .. i live on the coast in NC an would happily buy the parts as long as the yard does'nt think they are made of gold..

.( had a festy come in to the PnP here but it was really busted bad nothing to save on it but the pass headlight an the guy wanted 100 bucs for it ) .

..if you sent it C.O.D. to me an send me a return address i would even send gas moeny
for making a trip to the yard ........

if any one has the parts i need i will happily pay for them if shipped C.O.D. that way you are sure to get your money an i get my part .... ( i only suggest C.O.D because of things that have happened on a truck forum i was on an money was sent parts never came an the person disapeared from the forum ..with a few unfinished transactions )

again any help is appreaciated .....Drivers side headlight an tailight and passenger side front turn signal its a 93 so the tailight is the ribbed one

thanks again for any help that can be given

Mattman, let me check my stash. I know I have a headlight assembly, just can't remember if it's passenger, or driver side. I know I have a pair of front signal lights.

While I agree with Arty when it comes to the crap you see on the road from states that don't require inspections, I also think a lot of shops view inspections as a way to make extra cash.

I had a 73 Jeep CJ5. Soft top, so the hole had factory designed and installed drain holes (in case it rained when the top was off) They came with factory designed and installed rubber grommets to plug the holes. Tried to get it inspected, and it failed for holes in the floorboards, even tho the inspection book the guy was using (he was kind of new) made a definite distinction between rust holes, and factory design.

Let me know if you still need the parts, and I'll double check the stash. Sounds like someone peed in your inspectors corn flakes that morning.:p

yea Bat they did an today i talked to a quick lube shop that does inspections an he said an i quote " off the record " that the state has asked to make it harder for older cars to pass to try an get people to buy new an improve the economy " i almost died when he said that an he also told me the guys that work there are no longer allowed to inspect their cars at their own garage ...its all politics ........all i really need is a drivers side headlight an the drivers side tail light i think i got the signal thing fixed

The shop was heavy handed but you shouldn't be driving such a great car around with these deficiencies. Get on it & make that baby the gem it should be.
