  • Hello everyone, non festy owner here!

Hey guys I am Matt. I met many of you at Fesiva Madness 2011 in Raleigh. I am from Va Beach and own 2 old BMW's. I was the owner of the random blue BMW 528e at the show.:nono: I was very impressed with all the Festiva's that were there and even had a fav! (I don't know his name but it was the blue one with the round headlights installed! That was neat IMO) Jay Neal (kartracer46) invited me as he is a friend I met in the BMW world.

I am happy to be part of a great bunch of people and online community and plan to purchase a 5 speed Festiva asap.

Thanks man! It was actually pretty filthy that day and had no shift knob (or half of one). Thanks again!

I know right! You got me into e28's now I am about to dive again into another obscure car! But I like em what can I say? (BTW slammin_e28 on mye28 said I'm gonna be the "Duke" of Festiva's on the e28 board... lmao!)

Put an S38 M5 engine in a Festi and convert it to rear drive? YES Please! (Though I would probably have the lowest mileage festiva ever!)

So while troubleshooting my e30 yesterday and finally got it to start, i realize now why it is running so bad even with new parts: blown head gasket and possible cracked head.

So I decided to part her out and use the money to buy a replacement car. Hopefully a good FI Festiva. Can anyone point me in the right direction for one? I will travel as far north as DC and south as Raleigh. LMK!

^Good luck on your search man! I know of one for sale in my area for $800 with a supposedly rebuilt engine w/153k showing on the odo. It definitely needs some cosmetic work but looks to be solid otherwise. It's listed on cl here but I know the old guy selling it and looked at it the other week for another member but he was looking for something more pristine. Let me know if you want pics....I've got a few on my phone
