  • It's been too long.

It hasnt been forever since I have been on here but it has been a while since I have posted anything on here. Im hoping I don't catch a whole heck of alot of flack for this but I feel as though I owe it to you guys and myself to explain what has happened.

To start off Monstiva is no longer in my hands. I put the new rad in it and my once small oil leak that was resolved returned as a massive oil leak/fire. This did not damage the car completely but I have not been in a position financially to repair all the damage (including my grandfathers garage door). I had my truck repo'd and bills were stacking up massivly so with the monstiva sitting in the driveway pretty much with no front end and a guy came to the door one day offering $600 bucks I had to accept.

I felt really bad for selling it and for ditching madness. I especially felt bad for the massive amount of help I had with the car from members of this site that rather than just say what happened, I hid behind the metaphoric door that just as easily closes as it does open. That doors the internet.

Over the past couple months this forum has really been more family for me than just a place to gain a massive amount of information. I was ashamed and kinda embarrassed of the way monstiva went down. It had loads of potential and was so close to being at a decent daily operating order. I appologize for ditching out on everybody.

I don't intend to stay out of the game. I desperatly want another festiva but I am going to take my time and find one that atleast is capable of being driven daily while fixed up.

Well thats my boohoo story. I just wanted to say im sorry for taking your generous help and then disappearing.

$600 for a car that doesn't run? I don't blame you for taking it. Good luck on getting another!

Don't worry about it. Stuff happens, & you need to keep goin'. Lots of peeps on here have had problems, we all understand. Many have gotten rid/sold their Festys for reasons not nearly as good as yours. You'll get another Festy, its in your blood now!! Keep in touch with the fourm, speak up when you have input, don't be shy.

You did what you had to do. No one here will diss you for it. Having a car catch on fire is not a good feeling. However, getting $600 for your burned car sounds like a good deal!

Feel free to keep participating! It sounds like you'll probably make Madness some day.
