aspire gas ?

thought I ran out of gas tonight even though I knew it shouldn't have. anyway put in 1/2 gallon and went to the station and filled er up and it only held 8.3 gal. since they have 11 gal. tanks it still had 2-3 gal. in it when it quit. it started right up when I added the 1/2 gal.

had a toyota once that would not run if the gas cap seal was cracked.

do aspires have that problem since the fuel pump has a high psi rating?

other than that what else is there? trash in the tank? then why start up when 1/2 gal. is added?

fuel pump? its a rare occurance when they go bad gradually.

what do you think?

nope, you will only be able to use 8 ish gallons of your fuel. that's just the way the aspires came. I've had one that would almost use 9 gallons but not quite.

the advertised 10 gallon tanks really do not have a usable capacity of 10 gallons.

I was able to use just over 9 gallons out of the rated 10 in my '94 Aspire.
