  • 15 escorts in the junkyard...

And not one had a bp! They all had the 1.9. And the only bp I found was in a protege missing the distributor and the computer had been taken out. There was a nice 90 L with 89k and a/c tho. And a 323 with the b6. So I gotta try another junkyard lol.
89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

Were any of them Escort Ponies from 1991-1993? If so, there's a pretty good chance they have a final drive ratio that can make remarkable fuel economy for those doing F-series swaps! Details in this thread:

Discuss making performance enhancements to the OEM-spec engine in your Festiva or Aspire.

Read it start to finish and those 15 Escorts may quickly become a lucrative source of income if anybody is interested in buying and swapping a 3.41 FDR to save gas on the highway! I know I used to be before I decided to go G-series instead.

My local LKQ has (IIRC) 6 or 7 escorts, and all of them are 1.9 too. Only one is a 5-speed, so no luck there either.

      1991 Blue L 5-speed
      daily driver, intermittent project

So the final drive will swap into an f series? That's interesting...
